The Upload Platform has been used to launch three UK radio stations under the ‘Upload Radio’ banner.
Three areas of the UK are getting their own Upload Radio on DAB Digital Radio, online and through Radioplayer. Listeners in Surrey and South London, Wrexham, Chester and Liverpool and Gloucestershire took control of their own radio stations on Monday 24th April.
In the first commercial use of the Platform, Uploaders will be able to buy one-hour slots from £20 before the material is pre-vetted for compliance with the UK regulator Ofcom.
Upload Radio has integrated the system with RCS Zetta for Playout before onward transmission to the MuxCo DAB Digital Radio networks and Sharpstream for streaming.
